Our Early Years consist of a Preschool and two Reception classes.

We are planning to admit 2-year-olds into our nursery from September 2026.

Reception 2026

Reception places are being offered by the local authority on Thursday 16 April 2026.

If you are offered a place at Manford, you will receive a welcome letter the following week from us. 

Please contact the school office by Monday 27th April 2026 to let us know whether your child will be joining us in September.

School Reception Tours For Parents (for September 2026 places)

If you would like to attend one of the tours, then please call the school office on 020 8500 2143 to book your place.

Tuesday 5th May 
9.30am or 2pm - Tour of the school for families new to Manford.    No children please if possible.
Please make an appointment at the school office if you have not been to our school before.

I’m sure you have lots of questions, particularly if you are new to our school.  The Early Years Team in school to put together a plan for supporting you and your child through this exciting time.

Thursday 4th June - Welcome meeting for parents with the Headteacher (2pm and 4pm) 
Introduction and information meeting.

Collection of your welcome pack at the meeting. Bring your child’s passport or birth certificate.    No children please, if possible.

If you need the welcome pack posted to you just let us know. The school office is open 8am-4pm.

Friday 19th JuneDeadline for all paperwork from packs to be returned to the school office.    

Please ensure that all paperwork if filled out fully and birth certificate or passport has been given to the school office.

Thursday 25th June - Parents meeting with the Reception team (2pm and 4pm) 
This is a chance for you to meet the team and ask questions.    During this meeting you will be given details about start dates and routines for September.

Friday 3rd July, 11.30am-12.30pm    Picnic on the field- Come and meet your new friends. 
Please bring a packed lunch and blanket to sit on.  You are expected to stay with your child.

In June, teachers will be visiting children at their nurseries.

Preschool

Our Preschool offers places for both 15 and 30 hours of free childcare the term after a child's third birthday. 

Please apply online to check your eligibility for 30 hours free childcare here

If you are not eligible for 30 hours free childcare but would like your child to attend, there is a fee of £5 per hour.

With effect from April 2026:

Session times for '15 hour funded' pupils

8.45am - 11.45am (AM session)

or

12.15pm - 3.15pm (PM session)


Session times for '30 hour funded' pupils

9.15am - 3.15pm

6 hours of childcare daily

Should parents wish to choose the optional early start of 8.45am for their child, there is a fee of £3 payable.
